Even if some of the grants are wasteful, cutting them off mid-disbursement is even more wasteful behavior that only saves pennies on the dollar. They may as well pay out the money that has already been promised.

Then again, these grants were fought for by congresspeople for their constituents, so most of these grants will creep back again anyway, and this administration is just trying to smash and grab what it can before democracy catches up with them again.

This is truly a blow to the preservation of humankinds history. I for one am extremely dissapointed, and yet theres a silver lning in that the internet archive may thrive under times of normalized fallacy where good authentic information is sought after.

    They're not really paying for it they just gave a small grant for it, and half of that spread across 345,000,000 is a very small number for you to pay.
